KNOW THE
RULES.

ELIGIBILITY PERIOD

Films completed on or after January 1, 2024 are eligible for consideration.

PREVIOUS SUBMISSIONS

Films previously submitted to the Orlando Independent Film Festival are not eligible for resubmission.

PUBLIC ONLINE AVAILABILITY

Feature-length films that are already available for public online viewing are not eligible.

PRIVATE SCREENINGS

Films screened privately and not made available to the general public remain eligible.

03 / LANGUAGE & RIGHTS

ENGLISH

Entries must be in English or include English subtitles. Dialogue lists are not accepted as a substitute for subtitles.

LEGAL AUTHORITY

The entrant confirms that they have the legal authority to submit the work to the festival.

MUSIC & IMAGES

The entrant must have the necessary rights and permissions for all music, images and other content used in the film.

FEATURE FILMS

Feature films may be submitted through an online Vimeo screener, DVD or Blu-ray.

COMPLETE ENTRIES

Only complete entries including the applicable fee and screener will be considered.

WORKS IN PROGRESS

Works-in-progress are accepted. The committee will consider the version submitted at the time of entry.

STUDENT RATE

Student rates require proof of student status at the time of production.

SELECTED FILMS

Selected films screen on Blu-ray or DCP unless another arrangement has been made.

PROGRAMMING COMMITTEE

The festival programming committee selects the films that will be included in the festival.

SELECTED ENTRANTS

Selected entrants will be contacted by phone or email regarding their selection.

NON-SELECTED ENTRIES

The festival does not provide feedback or screening notes for films that are not selected.

COMPETITIVE CATEGORIES

Competitive categories are judged during the festival.

The entrant is responsible for all shipping costs.

No collect or COD shipments will be accepted.

International entries must be sent free domicile with transportation charges, duties and taxes prepaid.

Entry fees must accompany each submission and are non-refundable.

Fees cover registration, notification, programming consideration and result notification.
